Join us for an unforgettable two-day Luxor Tour From Marsa Alam with Hot Air Balloon. We’ll pick you up from your hotel and drive you to what we call the world’s greatest open-air museum: Luxor. On the first day, you’ll walk through the immense halls of Karnak Temple and stand before the grand statues of Luxor Temple with your guide. But the next morning is something really special. You’ll float gently over the Valley of the Kings as the sun rises, watching the ancient tombs and the green Nile valley come to life below. This is the Egypt you’ve dreamed of seeing, and we can’t wait to show it to you.
We'll pick you up early from your Marsa Alam hotel and begin our journey inland to Luxor. Upon arrival, you'll meet your Egyptologist guide and dive straight into the ancient world at Karnak and Luxor Temples before crossing the Nile for your overnight stay.
Drive to Luxor
It's an early start, but we make it easy. Our driver will pick you up right from your hotel lobby in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. Sit back and watch the desert scenery change as we head west towards the Nile Valley and the historic city of Luxor.
Exploring Karnak Temple
Your first stop is the incredible Karnak Temple. It's not just a temple; it's a huge complex of sanctuaries, pylons, and obelisks built over 2,000 years. Your guide will lead you through the Great Hypostyle Hall, where you'll walk among 134 massive columns that will make you feel tiny.
Visiting Luxor Temple
After a break for lunch at a local restaurant, we head to Luxor Temple. This temple is unique because it was built by multiple pharaohs, including Amenhotep III and Ramesses II. It looks especially beautiful as the afternoon light hits the stone. You'll see the start of the Avenue of Sphinxes that once connected it to Karnak.
Check-in on Luxor's West Bank
As the day winds down, we'll cross the Nile to the West Bank. We'll make a quick photo stop at the impressive Colossi of Memnon, two giant statues that have guarded the valley for millennia. Then it's time to check into your hotel for a relaxing evening and a good night's sleep before tomorrow's big adventure.
Today is the day you'll see Luxor from a completely different perspective. After a breathtaking sunrise balloon flight, you'll explore the tombs of the pharaohs and the stunning temple of a female ruler before we make our way back to Marsa Alam.
Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Ride
We wake you up before dawn for the main event. We'll take you to the launch site, where you'll watch the giant balloons inflate before climbing into the basket. As you rise silently into the air, you'll see the sun peek over the horizon, lighting up the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut below. It’s a peaceful, beautiful moment that makes this Luxor Tour From Marsa Alam with Hot Air Balloon so special.
Journey into the Valley of the Kings
Once you're back on solid ground, we'll have breakfast and then head to the world-famous Valley of the Kings. This is where pharaohs like Tutankhamun were buried in deep, hidden tombs decorated with amazing paintings. Your guide will help you choose the best tombs to enter, explaining the stories on the walls.
Discovering Hatshepsut's Temple
Next, we visit the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, one of ancient Egypt's few female pharaohs. The temple is stunning, with three terraced levels built right into the side of a cliff. It's unlike any other temple you'll see, and the story of its powerful queen is fascinating.
Return Journey to Marsa Alam
After a busy morning of exploring, we'll stop for lunch in Luxor. Then it's time to get back in our comfortable vehicle for the drive back to the Red Sea. You'll arrive at your Marsa Alam hotel in the evening, full of memories of ancient temples and sunrise views.
